Tunnels to Tomorrow

Their hearts were slamming against the rib cage, with shaking hands they tried to be there for each other, support one another. The future had trapped them in the events that were set to traumatize them. Confused, scared and drained of energy- all of the children standing in front of the house that was set on fire wanted to run away and never look back. Helpless, the children heard the cries for help. They watched the fire grow as it mercilessly took everyone and everything into its crackle of flame. Staring at each other in disbelief, they knew that nothing would remain the same. Their lives had taken a wild turn, their childhood was scarred. Little did they know, this was not it. The future had a lot in store for them.
