Beyond the Continuum is my fifth 9 story science fiction anthology. Let Not Your Hearts be Troubled concerns the first manned expedition to Mars. The three man crew discovers a civilization consisting of the descendants of earthlings abducted 5,000 years ago by the now extinct Martian race. The earth-martians are preparing to launch an invasion of earth. They destroy a great part of earth but is it our earth? Trip to Tomorrow is about a struggling adjunct Physics professor who builds a time machine that can go only one day forward and one day backwards in time. He teams up with a friend to rob the vault at the payday loan business where the friend works. The professor kills his friend after the first robbery and then returns to the previous day to rob it again stealing the same money again, doubling the take. But the professor should have been careful to button up his hip pocket where he kept his wallet. Nightmare Lover is the story of a jilted lover who acquires an alarm clock that can insert pre-planned dreams into the mind of the person sleeping next to it. He gives it as a wedding present to his former girlfriend and her husband. Every night he sends dreams of a passionate and torrid love affair into his girlfriend's husband's mind that are so vivid that he believes he is tapping into a parallel universe with a real woman. This “virtual affair” soon spirals out of control with devastating, disastrous -- and intended consequences that soon become very unintended. The Gift That Keeps on Giving tells the tale of a scientist from the year 1925 who builds a time machine and visits the future in 5 year intervals. He brings back the Covid 19 virus from his 2020 visit which changes history both in this reality and at least two others. I'll Spend Eternity with You is about a man who goes back in time to try and prevent his mother from marrying his father who he believes was extremely abusive to both her and him as a youngster. He ends up becoming his own father and his own son. The Pendant looks like a necklace but has the entire population of another planet as well as its only city stored inside it as an electronic pulse. Two soldiers are in charge of bringing it to earth where they will activate it in the Australian outback. Their spacecraft is struck by a meteor as they are approaching earth and crashes in a rural area of Texas. One of the soldiers is killed and the other survives but has total amnesia....
