Tessier Tales weaves together the lives, experiences, and adventures of 14 generations of my extended family from 1575 to 2024. I’ve tried to highlight my family’s identity – our heritage, encompassing the values, tradition and culture which have been passed down by previous generations. Like most family stories, Tessier Tales starts with its roots. But this book isn’t just about the past; it’s about the present and future. This is our family’s legacy, whTessier Tales weaves together the lives, experiences, and adventures of 14 generations of my extended family from 1575 to 2024. Part One consists of three stories about nine generations of people I did not know. Part Two consists of eight stories about two generations of people I knew and loved. Part Three consists of 16 stories about people in four generations – my siblings, cousins and me, as well as our children and grandchildren. Writing Tessier Tales has helped me widen my perspective and better appreciate the family values gifted to me by my ancestors. I hope Tessier Tales helps to carry forward this legacy. I hope you find Tessier Tales connects the dots of time, linking you to those who came before us. About the author – Call me a recreational rather than a professional writer. After retiring from an IT and accounting career, I joined a writing club in 2018. Tessier Tales is one of the results - my first published book. I wrote Tessier Tales in the first person to share my thoughts as each chapter describes the progression of my roots from yesterday to today. It’s a memoir, together with genealogy facts, family folklore, history, travel log, and photo album. My favorite part is “Tracing Your Tree” which instructs each reader how to understand their specific relationship to each ancestor and each other. I live in Florida with my wife, Nancy. I have three children and five grandchildren. We have busy lives. When I’m not writing, I play golf, bridge, and various other activities described in Chapter 13.
