Happy Events

An early work - a rhapsody, length: 98 pages Nearly twenty centuries had passed since man had surpassed himself. Two great wars had ruined and laid waste to much that was superfluous. It was the time when the chosen once more committed adultery, mistaking the face of the earth for the face of god; when the christian upheld the subtlety of an honourable name and then fled before the truth of the conflagration; when in the orient one last dragon writhed and spat bitterness into the cool wind lingering between the lotus and the bamboo. Black man had recognized his white image, confusing no more the colour striking his eye with the flash of light kindling in his illustrious manhood. All religions had seen the bubbling well dry up, as if winter had settled permanently into the brain, leaving no hope for survival. Clarity and the will towards the profound had taken leave of the senses, castigating the patient hand and spreading seed unto the moon and over grey concrete. A hush had settled over all flesh.
