Desire's Fire: Love Left in Ash

It starts with a spark, then a flicker. The fires of passion ignite in the heart. Burning hot to the touch. We press our lips to the flames waiting to be engulfed in the blaze. It surrounds us, choking on the whispers of smoke which make our eyes water and our mind clouded. We lose direction. Do we look for the quickest way out or do we trust in another to save us. Either way we will be left with scars. On the flesh and on the heart. Evidence of how out of control emotions can become.
