Python & Rust - Fourth Order Anisotropic Diffusion (AD) implementation and development using C++ with CPU and CUDA C on GPU
This ebook may not meet accessibility standards and may not be fully compatible with assistive technologies.
This book describes the steps to realize the Fourth Order Perona-Malik Anisotropic Diffusion (FOAD) denoising filter. We present the fourth order PDE equations and their discrete representation followed by the Python and Rust code implementations using the numpy package and ndarray respectively. Then the translation to C++ code for faster runtime executing on the host (CPU) is implemented along with the final realization via CUDA C running on a GPU device. The visual denoised image results using the host and device implementations are compared with the original and noisy images.
