A man was seen running out of a bush with an A4 envelope. The man, looking desperate and sweating, was putting on a long sleeves stripe shirt, tucked into a brown chinos trouser. He ran across the open field towards a condemned and rusty tractor, packed for a very long time. As he got to the tractor, he removed a black cellophane bag from inside the envelope containing something, and slipped it under the seat of the machine before speeding off tiredly. He ran across a vast farm land, towards the barbed wire fence demarcating the farm and the forest. From the bush where the man in his forties emerged, two policemen appeared with guns in their hands, and were seen chasing the man who by then, had gotten to the barbed wire fence. One of the policemen who also had ran past the tractor, seeing their target about to scale the fence, raised his gun and aimed. The sound of gunshot rent the air, causing the birds within the vicinity to scamper for safety by flying up into the sky. As for the man on the run, he slumped and lay still Two years later after the incident, Frank Nebo, a young police officer who was recently promoted to the rank of a sergeant, strolled into the farm land with his pregnant wife. As they walked slowly to the rusty tractor holding hands, she asked him to wait for her as she walked to the other side of the machine to ease herself. As Frank waited, he began to fiddle with the machine when he suddenly lifted the seat and saw a cellophane bag, containing a flash drive and documents. He opened it and was alarmed by the content of the documents. He showed it to his wife who emerged after relieving herself. She suggested he returns them back but curiosity took the better part of him. He took the bag home to know what’s contained in the flash. Some five months later, when his wife had put to bed a baby girl, adding to a boy child they already have, Frank was seen running for his dear life but this time around, unlike the man with the cellophane bag who ran through bushes and the open field, he was running through the busy streets of Lagos.
