A Window Bed

This novel is a window into the world of aging and about a mother/daughter relationship in the mother's final year in a nursing home. Here, many events, circumstances, and a near love affair help to turn this relationship around. The novel explores nursing home life which does not always have to own the undesirable reputation attributed to it. While never shying away from its sorrows, the story celebrates the complex and fufilling lives of the aged residents, their families, and their caregivers. It also poses the question: do we ever really know one another or is everything merely a function of our individual perceptions?
