IN 1924 a lengthy article appeared in the December 31 issue of The Golden Age magazine titled “A Bible for the Scientist.” This article asserts that the Great Pyramid at Giza was "Bible number one," and presents proofs FROM THE PYRAMID for Watchtower expectations, speculations and predictions for the dates 1789, 1874, 1914, 1925 and 1926. The author of that article, W.E. Van Amburgh, was the Secretary-Treasurer of the WTB&TS for 43 years.
In 1928 "Judge" J. F. Rutherford began dismantling the Great Pyramid doctrine with the publication of an article titled "The Altar in Egypt" that appeared in The Watch Tower magazine late that year.
Both articles are presented in this reprint. Students of the evolution of dogma may find the material fascinating.
