Chongqing Sights

Chongqing, “Yu” for short, is located in the southwest of China, on the upper reaches of Yangtze River. It is a world famous mountainous city, as well as the 4th municipality directly under the central government. The city area is 86,000 square kilometres, with a population of 31 million, consisting of Chongqing City, Wanxian City, Fuling City and Qianjiang District. Chongqing is the centre of culture, communication and economy in the southeastern region, one of the opened cities along the Yangtze River.
