Bell’s is forced to leave Ellery Grove behind by Loki’s doing. She is sent out into the Duccarearth world once more only to run across a circus and soon owing a debt to the ringleader for an unfortunate mating between elephants. She has no choice but to join the acrobats team or lose Tiny forever. Loki is not thrilled that she puts her jester talents aside for a paltry circus and soon gets her out to go back into the world. In a quaint fishing village Aarkon discovers Bells almost getting sent to the brig for annoying a tavern owner, he hires her to entertain his Lord Furnell at Wisteria Keep. There she learns that she is considered lowest of the low, below the servants. She is often used to entertain her lord’s daughter which is not exactly her plan of being the Keep’s jester. Soon she wiggles her way into the Lord’s good humor and is soon considered the Hall Jester a much better position and often entertains his banquet guests. However, earning the Lord’s favor is a fickle thing and she is suddenly blamed for a plot to poison the Lord and his guests. Terrified and thrown into the dungeon she thinks it’s the end for her until Loki shows up to claim his property and at a high price that she has to pay to prove once again her loyalty to her god. Alone in the wilds, she has no one to turn to , no protection until a fellow cousin comes across her. Jingles a traveling jester soon takes her under his wing and shows her that is much more fun to be on the road. That it is easy to avoid Loki’s demands. As well as having more fun being the thorn in their Lord Loki’s boot.
