Nuiruk
She Risked Her Life to Save Her Village
Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
Nuiruk is a story of courage and strength, perseverance and empowerment. She was a young Inuit girl raised in the harsh lands of the Arctic long ago. Born in a time when women were expected to be strong and capable, but valued only for a narrow set of skills, Nuikuk was destined to change all of that. Her three-fingered left hand caused fear and doubt among many, but provided Nuiruk a direct connection to the strength and mystical wisdom of Father Raven, creator of the Inuit people. Nuiruk stood up for the safety and justice of the women in her village. She broke barriers and helped heal the wounds of her people. She risked her life to save her village.
