Will Roberts has been writing novels and short stories for more than ten years He was born in Newport, South Wales and worked for twenty-two years in the steelmaking community has was at that time the main industry in South Wales. Since its decline in the 1990s, Will spent the last twenty-five years travelling the world as a Steelmaking Consultant.
Having always had a passion for reading, particularly historical novels, he decided to write his own novel. At this particular time, he was working in Greece, close to the beautiful Pelion peninsular, the home of the mythical centaurs; it was no surprise, therefore, that his first novel should be about centaurs and ancient Greece: Five Years on Pelion, Ten Years at Troy, was first published in 2016, under the title The Last Centaur, and has been very popular with those readers who enjoy stories of the heroes and myths of Ancient Greece.
Will's novels and short stories are all based on actual historical events and One for the Road and Last Orders are written around events that took place in The Korean War and The Second World War, specifically the Burma Campaign, respectively. Apart from describing these historic events, Will's amateur detective, Adam Evans, recovers long lost pieces of treasure and solves some old, mysterious disappearances.
Will also has a passion for sport, in particular, rugby, and has, where possible, tries to include both rugby and steelmaking in his works.
