Bob Ford is a Massachusetts woodsman that chops up wood to keep his house warm all winter. He meets Kayla Hannah, a crazy little girl that acts up because she is not in school. She constantly torments Bob untill he can bear no more. Bob goes to a pet shop to buy a golden retriver named Bosco to protect him. It is there he meets the owner named Pat Blake who takes a great liking to him. They become best friends in a hurry when Bob tells Pat what he has been going through with Kayla. Bob and Pat even plan a nice trip to Delaware to escape Kayla's clutches. Kayla is wanted all over the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for her unruly behavior. She's also in danger of being put in prison. It turns out that Bob and Pat teach her a lesson in being a better person by going to school, and being a good friend.
