Lyman Enloe was one of the best old-time fiddlers ever to come out of the Missouri Ozarks. He was steeped in tradition, having learned tunes from his father, uncle and other local players. He cut his teeth playing for square dances and fiddlers contests. In later life he gained an entirely new following as a Bluegrass fiddler, playing for several years with the Bluegrass Association in the Kansas City Area. Lyman won many accolades for his fiddling including Best Fiddler award from the Society for the Preservation of Blue Grass Music of America and a National Heritage Award from the National Endowment for the Arts.
This book of tunes will give you an insight into Lyman's playing and will hopefully help to keep his many unique tunes in circulation among players of today.
