Beginning over a hundred years ago, a very large number of the stories by William Porter Sydney were revealed to the public in various newspapers and magazines. They were written under the pen name of O'Henry. In these offerings, stories about everyday life were written that incorporated playful and witty dialogue, and often utilized surprising plot twists at their conclusions. These tales have been enjoyed by countless readers of his day and since. In his stories in this fourth volume, though obviously dated, we can still find ourselves and our struggles with life today.
