Common Criteria for Professionals: evaluation processes
This ebook may not meet accessibility standards and may not be fully compatible with assistive technologies.
Common Criteria evaluators need to accurately assess if a product meets its stated security requirements, within practical time and money constraints, while keeping their integrity. This is not a simple task in itself, let alone in the context of the 1000+ pages of standard.
This book takes a step back from the technicalities of the Common Criteria and goes into the processes in a CC evaluation: the business view on the process and interpersonal view on the play between the roles of the end-user, the developer, the evaluator and the certifier.
This book is written for people wanting to improve the way a CC evaluation goes for them or wanting to understand the meta-level processes.
I assume you are working in the roles of CC evaluator or CC certifier, although I think experienced developers and consultants will also find it useful to know what happens in the evaluator or certifier side of the process.
