At 18 years old, Kore is just trying to get by. She works at a small diner and takes classes at the community college, all while sharing a tiny, cheap apartment with her roommate, Jacqueline. Money is tight, and life isn’t easy, but Kore is determined to build a future for herself. But Kore has a big secret.
