The endomorph body type is one of the three basic body types (the other two being ectomorph and mesomorph) as identified by American psychologist William Sheldon. Endomorphs are characterised by a rounded, soft, and curvy body shape, with a tendency to gain weight easily and store fat in their abdomen, hips, and thighs. They generally have a slower metabolism and find it more challenging to lose weight compared to other body types. Endomorphs often have a wider bone structure, shorter limbs, and a higher percentage of body fat. However, it is important to note that body types are not strictly defined, and individuals can have characteristics of more than one body type.
