In "The Face of Shadow" a WWI soldier narrates his encounter with the impossible and the terrible choice that must follow. "Hymn of All Hallows Eve" is the first publicly available story from the 'Dreamcatcher' universe. A Presbyterian minister takes shelter from a storm in a public house, only to get caught up in a dire struggle between the stuff of nightmares, literally, and those who guard the border between the waking world and the realm of dreams. Living shadows, homicidal clockwork, and an endless supply of zombies, werewolves, scarecrows & abominations. Good times!
