Chase Yale chose the costume and identity COMMANDO YANK as his way of fighting for the United States during World War II. He was a war correspondent who joined Naval Intelligence, and though he had no super powers he used his natural strength, cunning and skill with weapons to fight against both regular enemies of freedom and villains such as The Black Dragon Society. COMMANDO YANK enjoyed a long run in Wow Comics along with scattered appearances elsewhere, including America's Greatest Comics and Whiz Comics! No fewer than 11 different Golden Age artists work on COMMANDO YANK, and probably many more since many stories are unattributed. Some of the Commando Yank stories cannot be reprinted due to copyright, so we're unable to collect all his stories; however, this is the largest collection in print - of course, it is....we're Gwandnaland ComicsTM!
