Carey "Pete" Carter attended Martinsville High School and played football and basketball for the Bulldogs. He played on the 79 football team that beat Southampton when Southampton was riding a national record home winning streak of 69 games. Pete played on the 1980 & 1981 back to back state championship basketball teams. The 1981 team beat Oak Hill Academy when Oak Hill was ranked among the top 10 teams in the nation. Pete is a former US Marine and Army Ranger. His interests include leadership, technology, travel and music. He lives in Northern Virginia with his wife Bridget and their two children.
