I am Robi, Alexander's only son born in 1943 during the Second World War in Hungary. I am mentioned in the later part of the book, which was primarily written at my urging. After hearing a lot of the stories over the years told by my Father, I suggested he write a book about his life after retirement from his work. Since he only retired fully at age 75, it still took him almost a decade to get started. At age 85 he wrote the entire book on an Apple II computer I brought for him from the US. Using a very early version of an Apple-version of a word processor, he managed to type out the entire book using a 2-finger typing style he was not used to from old typewriters. Afterwards I had to extract and convert the Text files from a small stack of 5.25" literally "floppy" Apple diskettes to PC formatted 3.25" diskettes. Those Text files were then reformatted into Microsoft Word files, so they could be edited. And the finished version is what you can read in the book itself. - Enjoy !
