Michelle Stitzlein, the author, is an Ohio artist who utilizes recycled materials in her work. She began collaborating with elementary schools, craft museums, arts festivals, and botanical gardens in 2004. Her work has been featured on HGTV's "That's Clever" and she was awarded a 2008 Individual Excellence Grant from the Ohio Arts Council.
