Arturo Portillo is a screenwriter, actor and movie editor. Ever since elementary school, in third grade, Arturo had the knack for writing and drawing. His teacher approached him to write a book for class, which he did, that won him an award for creative writing. His first book was a children's fable, after that, creativity ensued. In 1991, during his English class in middle school, his teacher gave him a great idea for a story; a screenplay, without realizing he did so. The teacher was just relating a story to the class, but with the first few sentences spoken out, Arturo generated 115 pages of a screenplay that he would later finish in 1997; after graduating from high school. During his years in college, Arturo dabbled in many classes from creative writing to television and broadcast journalism, in which he majored in. He wrote many short stories and developed his second screenplay, The Last Ride. After that, he's worked on many films, TV shows and written over a dozen scripts.
