BRIAN BLACK is the pen-name of the author/illustrator BRIAN GENTLES. Brian was born in Hammersmith, London in 1959. Brian has been writing full-time since March 2009. Previously he was a school teacher for nearly thirty years. He holds three degrees in mathematics/computing, art and design and education. As well as these subjects Brian has a keen interest in social and economic history all of which he has drawn on to write his books. Since becoming a full-time writer he has written the following books which will be available shortly: THE LIBRARIAN, THE GARDENS (OMNIBUS IN 3 VOLUMES), A JAMAICAN GANGSTER. Brian lives in Berkshire with his wife and two children.
