Mr. Knepper was born at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland. He grew up in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania and graduated from the local high school in 1971. He spent a career in the U.S. Air Force, retiring in 1995. His ninth grade English teacher prompted his love of writing but it wasn't until forty years later that he published his first book, "Murder in Gettysburg". He has two grown boys and is married to his high school sweetheart.
