My name is Erika Brinsfield, I live in upstate NY with my loving husband John and our Chocolate Lab, Molly. I have always loved reading and writing and decided to jump into the world of fiction novels thanks to the annual NANOWRIMO contest (see link). For those of you who don't know that is the National Novel Writing Month contest where contestants are challenged to write a novel of at least 50,000 words in one month. This novel was a winnder in Nov. 2011. As I venture into the world of novel writing, I have come to appreciate the writing skills I learned from my amazing teachers and mentors in school, as well as the love of reading I got from my family. When I am not reading or writing I am usually found with a camera in my hands working on my Masters of Fine Arts degree in Photography or doing event photography (see link).
