Gary was born in 1950 and graduated from Lake Orion High School, Lake Orion, Michigan. Upon graduation he attended Michigan Technological University in Houghton, Michigan, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. Gary received his Diploma in Biblical Theology in 1986, through the Theological Practorium, from Dr. Herman Hoyt, co-founder of Grace Theological Seminary. He became involved in church planting ministries with the FGBC in Alaska, Michigan, and later became involde with the starting of a church in Indiana. Local ministries centered on preaching, teaching, home Bible studies, and youth ministries. Nationally he served as chairman of the Michigan District’s Ministerial Examining Board and served as chairman of the Home Mission Council of the CGBCI. Gary and his wife, Marie, have been married for 39 year, live in Alaska, have two fine boys, two lovely daughter-in-laws, three grandchildren and continue to serve in their local church.
