About
Paul Conley
I grew up in New Hampshire and spent many summers on the beach, where I developed a healthy fascination of the sea. To this day, a simple walk along the beach can stir my creativity and bring forth stories about what is, and what could be, lurking just offshore. Though admittedly, the nuclei of these stories tend to lurk in my own mind, a mind fed by each wave that spills upon the shore as I wonder what amazing, terrifying and fascinating things said wave has passed on its journey. Not content to simply wonder, I started jotting down interesting and fantastic sea scenarios, which culminated in my first novel, Megalodon. Other books of mine, including the already-available Camille, and the forthcoming novels Flukes, The Tide, and It, also deal with ocean adventures. Today I juggle my writing with being a family man--a family comprised of a beautiful wife, three kids, a dog, a cat and two fish. I also have a healthy appetite for hockey, something reflected in my novel Crosschecked.
