James Cowell was born and raised in Burnley at the start of the Second World War. His brother John wrote the well-loved book, “The Broken Biscuit” and because James was one of the main characters, Blakes published James’ autobiography, “God Loves A Trier”. Born a Catholic, he attended church only on special occasions, yet over a lifetime of questioning finally came to the realisation that God does indeed exist and that all things in the universe are governed by a higher power with nothing happening by chance. However, God gave to us free will and so our actions change things, not always for the better. A wiggle of our little finger can affect the most distant star. “IN ANOTHER TIME” is a fast moving story that also questions our morals and the reason we are here.
