I am Mother, Wife and Grandmother who also happens to be the Grammy portrayed in Just Till Mommy Comes Home. My book was inspired by my single soldier Daughters deployment to Afghanistan and her struggle to leave her baby to serve her country. My Daughter was lucky in that she had a family that embraced her baby; unfortunately some soldiers are not as lucky. My futile search for a children’s book that encompassed this event and put a positive spin on a heartbreaking adventure is what pushed me to write this book and publish it. While I hope to write other books I am not sure I will ever have an emotional connection to a book as I do this one. I live in North Carolina with my Husband and Son and have a wonderful family that has been a great source of support during this adventure.
