About
Marc Alexander
As a young man, Marc Alexander left his home in Poverty Bay, New Zealand, to spend a year in England. He fell in love with the country and has spent most of his time here ever since. From boyhood his aim was to become a writer and in London his career began when he became a Fleet Street reporter and later a magazine editor. It was then that his fiction began to be published. Since then he has had over sixty books in print. His novels have ranged from Westerns to fantasy and his non-fiction work includes biography, folklore and historical subjects, his latest book on the latter being The Royal Heritage of Britain. He works mostly at his cottage in Cumbria close to Hadrian's Wall, and his favourite form of relaxation has been his canal cruiser "Blue Flame".
