A graduate of the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Nathan Brooken began writing poetry and songs while in college. His passion for the written word translated into a collection of short stories as well as a novel. "For My Beautiful Black Sister" is the first of three installments written for and about Black Women and one of eight by the author.
