Patricia Garfield

Patricia Garfield holds a doctorate in clinical psychology and is the author of ten nonfiction books on dreams. Her first book, Creative Dreaming (1974) was a bestseller and has been in print since, with a revised edition (1995). Considered a classic, it appears in fifteen foreign languages. Delfine the Dream Girl is her first novel. Dr. Garfield’s The Dream Book: A Young Person’s Guide to Understanding Dreams is the winner of the 2002 Parent’s Guide to Children’s Media Award. One of the six founders of the International Association for the Study of Dreams, Dr. Garfield was President of the organization from 1998-1999. Dr. Garfield has been featured on Good Morning America, Sixty Minutes, CNN, BBC, and numerous other national and international television and radio shows in the U.S.A. and Europe, as well as lecturing in America and abroad.
