About
Roxanne Davis

Thank you for coming to my storefront. I wanted to call my book "Field Notes from the Zeitgeist of Yore" because it is simply a recording of life in another time -- the 50s & 60s. I felt inspired by Frank McCourt's "Angela's Ashes," as he told his family's history from the point of view of a child growing up. It's a retelling of what happened with a bit of nostalgia. The fact that I grew up in Los Angeles gives the story a bit of glamour (or make-believe) because our world was so influenced by Disneyland and Hollywood. All my memories feel like either a ride or a movie. I sort of Mr. Magoo-ed my way through some tricky circumstances and lived to tell the story. Feel free to contact me on Facebook to swap any mid-century memories. Thank you again for stopping by.
