About
Daz Pearce

Daz Pearce is a former songwriter and musician turned performance poet. His biggest influences include alternative 80s music, John Cooper Clarke, angst and human stupidity. Described by the author as 'ten parts affection, ten parts angst' his debut named Provoked seeks to highlight some of the absurdities of modern life while turning conventional wisdom on its head. A must-read for those who love challenging, engaging and (yes) provocative poetry. Originally from Preston, Daz frequently attends open mics in the city to promote and showcase his work - in a recent radio appearance he admitted to finding the poetry scene 'a bit pretentious, like watching three bald blokes fighting over a comb' and that he prefers the company of musicians instead (August 2019).
