This book is dedicated to Jaylan Chikia. Two of the people who inspired me to press on when I was on dialysis and though about giving up. Thank you my young cousins and God kids! Also too sister Mary Simpson. Who ask me to begin writing recipes for her. The same recipes that help me before I received my kidney transplant! She requested I write this book. She has been a constant inspiration. I'm Derrick Leander Chambers! I was on dialysis for 11 months before I receicved my transplant. These are the receipes that gave me the opportunity to receive it. Plus some new ones. I received my transplant on Easter Sunday. April the 9th is when I recieved the call 2012 that very next day I had my surgery. I got down on my knees with my mother and prayed. The night before when we were placed on stand by. Though I've been thur cancer since then. I'm still here, and would like someone to benefit from it! I'm now age 31. I've been disable form these events. Now it time to live my life!:)
