Scott A. Tippett was born in Boulder, Colorado. Though his family moved to Southern California during his early childhood Scott returned to Boulder to attend college at the University of Colorado, graduating in 1988 with a B.A. degree in Political Science. Following a brief residency on the island of Maui he moved to San Diego to attend law school. Following law school Scott returned to Boulder County where he practiced law for twenty two years. Following his retirement from the practice of law Scott embarked on second and third careers as an author and chef. An avid scuba diver Scott has traveled extensively throughout the Caribbean and the Hawaiian islands. Scott is an aficionado of adventure in general and is most at home in the great outdoors, expedition pack on the back, fly rod in hand, as far from pavement at possible for as long as possible. Scott currently resides in Estes Park, Colorado, in a home where he enjoys a view of the Rocky Mountains out of every window.
