Pierre Davis-Dutreix is a Franco-American painter from NYC/Vermont presently residing in Nice, France. Besides painting, he films and edits movies. Every painting comes with its own "making of" which not only shows the process of how the paintings were created, but displays life in the studio as well. The movies' music isn't anodyne either since the artist hosted a musical show on Vermont Public Radio for several years. He introduced "World" music to what became a large group of fans in the rural hills of Vermont and New Hampshire. Since 1991, Davis-Dutreix has been a part of the French art movement called "squart" which prompted him to write about his experience in this unknown and ostracized art phenomenon.
