The author was employed for forty years in the construction industry as a plumbing and heating engineer and before retiring to write, worked on a major construction project in a maximum security prison, where: ‘I learnt about the 'dark side' of human nature, the internal conflicts that are a part of prison life, and that was only the staff!.’ He has three children, five grandchildren and one great grandchild. On life he quotes: “I was taught from a very early age: ‘Never be afraid to tell the truth’ & ‘Politicians have turned society on its head’. Their abiding result has been the corruption of the basis on which society is founded and of the principle of truth and fidelity whuich they claim to serve.”
