Hazel is an accomplished equestrienne. She and her horse, Cheers, were one of Tasmania's most successful eventing combinations in the 90s. After a serious riding accident, Hazel was forced to give up eventing. Cheers was very reluctantly sold to an eventing home and a suitable dressage horse was bought. Acheron Supreme was a very green pure bred, section D Welsh Cob with the movement of a warmblood. Ace, as he was affectionately known, was a fast learner and in a few short years had gone from competing at Prelim/Novice level to competing successfully at Med/Adv level. Such was his eagerness to learn & and his natural athleticism, that he was also training Grand Prix, and showing a natural flair for piaffe, passage and tempi changes. Hazel has now retired from competitive riding and is now a multi award winning, internationally recognised, wildlife artist. The publishing of 'Trials' is the realisation of a long held dream for Hazel who is looking forward to finishing Trials Part 2!
