Amelia Baker took a chance at writing and completing her first novel Ain’t No Difference n 2006. After a year of uncertainty, it took the passing of her mother and the difficulties of living in New York as a young adult to encourage her to continue her writing journey and dream of someday becoming a published author. With a creative mind, a talent for writing, and supportive friends and family she set out to do her best in all that she did as well continues to do today. Also known to some as ‘Amil’ she has performed at different events and venues as a spoken word artist where she shared her love of urban poetry. Being a born soldier from South Jamaica Queens, she currently continues to work on two other pieces of literature for future readers to enjoy.
