Retta Timmons is the Executive Director of Purpose Restored, a ministry established to ‘Build up the Broken’. Retta is a charismatic and inspirational speaker with a transformational message. As a breakthrough coach who is also a sexual abuse survivor, Retta coactively works with her clients to combat the imprisonment of guilt and shame of sexual abuse so they can live freely in their true identity. Retta has overcome trials and tribulations which caused lack of self-worth, low self-esteem, as well as mental and emotional anxiety. By sharing her life experiences, she has inspired many people to fight through tough times. Although she is 5’0”, she is known to have a bold, 6’6” attitude that loves and encourages people back to life. Her moniker, “Always Retta”, was given to her because of her transparency and vulnerability. She shares her heart unselfishly at any given time. What was once a life of trauma and seclusion is now a life of celebration. Retta has successfully become the first in her family to graduate high school and college. She is a three-time published author, a Certified Life Coach, and an inspirational speaker. Retta is currently working on completing a ‘Trauma Informed’ course, as well as a Biblical Cognitive Therapy Course that will allow her to dig deeper into issues her clients face. Through her various programs and her memoir, “A Beautiful Tragedy”, she is determined to facilitate the healing of every person that gives her access.
