In 2001, American Heritage Wildlife Foundation Inc began it's journey. The 501(c)3 organization and Idaho State nonprofit incorporation were the first steps, then the US Fish and Wildlife Service Migratory bird division and Idaho State Fish and Game Department Rehabiliation permits were issued, The two co-founders created this delightful children's story together. Tracy created the story & Kathleen created the illustrations. This is one of several fundraising efforts for AHWF. The vision is to create the first Nature Center of North Idaho.
