Ala Villanueva was born and raised in New York City during the tumultuous 1960's and 70's. A student of Performing Arts High School and graduate of theater/arts from City College of New York, dance and design served as her thesis for living. As a multifaceted global trotting producer, Executive Director and mother, she has been awarded several accolades recognizing her contributions to underserved populations in the non-profit arts and cultural sectors. Thirty-two years of her life were dedicated to raising capable leaders within an NGO world peace organization based upon the selfless tenets of Buddhism.
