Rev Alan Barr is a Church of Ireland Rector working in Co. Tyrone in Northern Ireland. After more than 20 years in paid Christian ministry he has decided to put some of his thoughts on paper. Alan began his working life as a bacteriologist in a large Belfast Hospital. After becoming a Christian in 1983 he moved to work for Church Army, a home mission organisation. He was Ordained in 2007. Alan has a passion for the local church. He believes that God chooses to work through local congregations.
