My story begins with a child’s delight in the simple joy of baking and grows into a lifelong passion. Baking became a vital part of my healing after the death of both grandparents in very short succession. I grew up in England but returned to my birth country America to make a new start. While watching TV one day, I saw an invitation to submit recipes in a contest hosted by the renowned baker Buddy Valastro. I seized the opportunity to participate by entering my strawberry cake recipe. My confidence was boosted after achieving second place in the quarter finals of the competition. My passion has become a self-expression, a way to wake up the taste buds and evoke joy in others through the medium of baking.
