Robert Ferguson

Born in 1966 in North Norfolk, Robert studied Archaeology at Durham University before embarking on a career in travel. He has walked coast to coast across Borneo, climbed in the Himalayas and enjoyed the bright lights of Bollywood. He has worked as a Mountain guide in Nepal, Pakistan, Morocco, Ethiopia and Lesotho. After 3 years living in Northern Tuscany, he returned the UK and now runs a travel company specialising in safaris to Africa. He lives once more in Norfolk with his wife and 2 young daughters On his travels he has been kidnapped in Pakistan, detained by the army in Turkey, performed surgery in Morocco, given the kiss-of-life at 32,000 ft and fallen into a 150 foot ice crevasse in the Himalaya. He was shot at during the Tiananmen Square demonstrations and survived a plane crash in Ethiopia. He now always checks both ways carefully when crossing the road.
