About
Andrew Richardson
Richardson has worked all his life, with experience across diverse industry sectors and cultures. He ventured from agribusiness into consumer goods in 1992. In 1994 he formed a consultancy to help US and EU firms to build their foreign markets: he served as VP for 9 clients at a time. He co-founded a US coffee business, later starting espresso bars franchised across the UK; launched a Swiss speciality coffee brand in the UK; expanded Britain’s oldest retail tea business in USA. He lived in the USA for 20 years and worked in Africa, the Middle East, Asia and Australia, now resident in the UK where he is a founder and board member of two social enterprises. In February 2009 he was sentenced under the UK Firearms Act. 10 days later it was nullified and the trial declared illegal! But by April he was retried and given 3 years custody. Although the sentence was immediately appealed, it took 6 months to schedule a hearing in the High Court, thankfully securing his instant release.
